02 How the inspection works

Four steps from search brief to signed deal

Every stage leaves a written record you keep. We hold no affiliation with sellers or dealers, so the file stays neutral from the first call to the final handshake.

  1. 01

    Search brief

Send the make, model, year, budget and city. We shortlist up to four realistic candidates from Ukrainian listings and note asking prices against available market data.

    Output: shortlist note

  2. 02

    Ownership documentation review

We read the technical passport, registration history, mileage records and lien notes, then mark each line verified, needs review or missing. Open a sample document ledger. This review is not legal advice.

    Output: document ledger

  3. 03

    Physical inspection

An on-site inspection with a used car condition assessment: body and paint readings, underbody, engine bay, diagnostics, road test. Findings are photographed and numbered. View the condition checklist. It is thorough, not a guarantee.

    Output: condition report

  4. 04

    Negotiation and handover

We sit with you at the meeting, put the flagged items on the table and help you hold the asking price against the evidence in the file.

    Output: signed handover notes

How we read a car's ownership history

Each file is checked against registry records, workshop paperwork and the seller's own account of the car. Open a row to see what we look for, where the data comes from, and the date it was last checked.

We compare the technical passport against the plate, VIN and engine number, then trace how many hands the car has passed through before the current seller.

  • Holder name and VIN printed on the certificate
  • Owner count logged on the registration record
  • Any re-registration gap longer than 12 months

Mileage readings are laid out in order, so drops and long silences stand out. A single missing year is common; three are a reason to bargain hard or walk away.

  • Dated stamps with workshop name and mileage
  • Progression between consecutive readings
  • Records that stop well before the current odometer
Source: pledge register, enforcement records / checked 14 Mar 2025

A car can be clean on paper and still carry a bank pledge. Nothing here is signed off until the register searches come back empty and the seller's identity matches the documents.

  • Open pledge or lease entry on the VIN
  • Enforcement or seizure listings
  • Seller identity consistent across all papers

Document review is not legal advice and does not replace a notary or a lawyer. Findings cover only the records available on the check date. See what a full review includes

05 Condition assessment

What the 120-point check actually covers

The 120 points are not a sales number. They are eight scoring categories, worked through in a fixed order on a lift and on a road test. Each point gets a severity rating and, where the fault is visible, timestamped photo evidence attached to that exact line.

Critical

Affects safety, legality or drivability, or shows hidden structural repair. Reported before you negotiate.

Needs review

Wear or leaks that are within range today but likely to need money within the next 12 months.

Verified

Checked and found consistent with the declared mileage, service history and asking price.

CategoryPointsWhat is recorded
Body and structure18Panel gaps, paint thickness, seam alignment, corrosion, traces of accident repair.
Engine and drivetrain22Cold start behaviour, oil condition, leaks, timing components, fault codes, live sensor data.
Transmission12Shift quality on cold and warm fluid, clutch engagement, adaptation values.
Suspension and steering16Bushings, shock absorbers, ball joints, play in the rack, wear pattern on tyres.
Brakes and tyres14Pad and disc thickness, fluid moisture, ABS function, tread depth and DOT dates.
Electrical and electronics15Battery health, charging output, control units, driver assistance sensors, infotainment faults.
Interior and comfort13Upholstery wear, climate output, seat mechanisms, odour and water ingress marks.
Documents and history10Service records, mileage consistency, owner count, outstanding finance notes.

Photo evidence is tied to line items, not to a gallery

Each inspected point can hold up to four photographs taken on site, tagged with the VIN area and a capture timestamp. A clicking shock absorber shows a photo of the leaking body and a short video of the noise. Panel gaps are photographed with the measuring gauge in frame. Nothing is written in the report that a photo or a measurement cannot support.

06 · FAQ

Guarantees, liability, and where our data comes from

We inspect and help you buy. We do not sell cars, we hold no agreement with any dealership, and we take no commission from the seller. That independence is the whole point of the report.

Send us a listing and we will tell you what can be checked. Request an inspection or call +380 971 978 9387.

No. We are hired and paid by the buyer only. The inspector who visits the car has no financial interest in whether you complete the purchase, and we accept no referral fee from sellers, dealers, or repair shops.
